About Randy - The Heart Behind Ludensol Detailing

For Randy, cars were never just machines. They were a passion that began before he could even spell the word. Born to Colombian immigrant parents, he grew up surrounded by engines, dirt bikes, motorcycles, and the excitement of anything on wheels. Some kids played with toys; Randy was out riding by the time he was ten.

His childhood was filled with memories of attending the annual New York International Auto Show at the Jacob Javits Center with his dad. Walking through rows of brand-new models, concept cars, and performance builds sparked his imagination and fueled his dream of one day getting behind the wheel of something extraordinary.. At 16, he got his junior license and proudly drove his mom’s green Lexus, marking the start of a lifelong obsession with keeping cars clean, sharp, and uniquely customized.

Not long after, he purchased his first car, a Honda Prelude, followed by a Honda Del Sol. His AOL screen name became “LUDENSOL,” a combination of the two car names. That name would follow him into adulthood and eventually become the foundation of his business.

Throughout his teens, Randy spent his time buying cars, fixing them, customizing their interiors and exteriors, and showing them at events across the tri-state area. He attended Westchester BOCES for auto body and later spent about five years working professionally in the field. During that time, he fell deeply into the JDM world, especially Lexus GS models, which he modified, painted, and showcased. His work earned him multiple awards for Best in Class.

One of his lifelong dream cars was the legendary Toyota Supra. Seven years ago, he purchased one in Brooklyn and has been building it into an absolute powerhouse ever since. Today, Randy’s Supra produces over 1000 horsepower and is fully protected with PPF and ceramic coating, reflecting his craftsmanship, precision, and lifelong dedication to performance cars.

That same passion led to the creation of Ludensol Detailing. What started as a childhood love turned into a career built on skill, pride, and the belief that every vehicle deserves to look and perform its best.

Today, the part Randy enjoys most is sharing that passion with his son, Alexander, continuing the same family tradition that began with him and his father.
